A few ideas to keep appreciating the library:
Give A Gift—While Doubling Your Impact!
A group of generous donors has agreed to match every gift made during Library Appreciation Week, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000! All funds raised during this special week will go towards the library’s endowment, supporting its bright future. Click here to make your gift quickly and securely online.
vISIT THE LIBRARY!
Visit your neighborhood branch, a branch you’ve never been to before, or take a tour of all seven library branches in Cambridge. Visiting the library is a GREAT way to celebrate! Click here for a map of all seven Cambridge Public Library locations.
mAKE LIBRARY ART!
The Library Foundation partnered with CRLS junior Sky Waddell-Brittle to offer outline illustrations of every Cambridge Public Library branch. Click the links below to see Sky’s illustrations, print them (at home or at the library!) and make some beautiful library art!
About the Artist:
Hi! My name is Sky and I'm a junior and Creative Design RSTA student at CRLS. I love illustration and design, and am so honored that I was hired to create these illustrations for the Cambridge Public Library. I Iove visiting the library to hang out with friends, check out books, and spend time after school. (I also work for Innovators for Purpose, a youth-centered non-profit that meets here!) Thank you for this opportunity, and happy coloring!

Thank you, Sky, for producing these incredible illustrations as a part of a Rindge School of Technical Arts’ Creative Design Live Work project! To learn more about Creative Design Live Work projects, click here.
Tell Your Friends!
Many people don’t visit the library because they forget about it or aren’t quite sure how to use it. Let people in your community know that you find value in the library, meet up at the library with your kids, and share your secrets about why you’re a fan. Need some hard data? Use this library value calculator to see how much you and your family save by using the library!
Try Out A New Library Resource!
Have you made something in the library’s Hive Makerspace?
Participated in a community book group?
Researched the history of your home in the archives?
Streamed a blockbuster movie online?
You can do all these things—and more—at the library! Why don’t you come explore?

Postcard and Webpage illustrations: About the artist
My name is Maeghan Fischer and I’m a Level 3 senior in the RSTA Creative Design program at CRLS. I enjoy participating in live work contests and am grateful to have been given the opportunity to participate in freelance contract design work. Next year, I will be attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to further my knowledge of design. I enjoy illustrating digitally, creating applied designs, and working with my hands.
Maeghan designed the graphics on this webpage, as well as these amazing postcards, which will go out to Cambridge residents next week! Thank you, Maeghan!
