Theodore Jameson Todd

Theodore Jameson Todd was the son of Dr. Bernice Jameson Todd and Clement Joseph Todd. He spent most of his youth in Corona, which his grandparents and great-grandparents, the Jamesons and the Joys, helped found in 1886. Mr. Todd attended Corona Junior High and Corona High School. After graduation he studied at UCLA. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater aboard destroyer escort the Downs. He graduated from UCLA’s School of Agriculture in 1948.

Afterwards he assumed control of the Todd Ranch Company, a family citrus and avocado business in Corona. He remained President of the company until 2002. He was an active member of the Corona Parent-Teachers’ Association, Corona Lions Club, and the California Avocado Association, on whose board he served as Chairman for over 20 years. He also served on the boards of the Temescal and Corona Water Companies and served on the state Industrial Welfare Commission in the 1960s and 1970s. After Mr. Todd passed away the Foundation received funds in his name to benefit the Heritage Room.
