CPL BuildingThe Foundation is committed to Building the Library’s future by embracing technology and advancing literacy. As a non-profit public benefit corporation. We are dedicated to assisting the Corona Public Library by strengthening its programs, and improving its service to the public.

The Foundation raises funds beyond those available through government revenues to enable the Corona Public Library to acquire collections, equipment and enrichments beneficial to the community. Moreover, through its guiding principles, the Foundation encourages understanding and appreciation of the Corona Public Library.

The three major areas targeted for funding by the Foundation include:

  • Literacy services: Purchasing of materials to enhance the current Library’s collection as well as services and programs that promote the joy of reading for all ages

  • Building for a Future: Enhancing our current facility and sustaining endowment efforts for a branch library to serve our growing community

  • Technology services: Keeping the Library current with ever-changing technology needs

History
The Corona Public Library Foundation was incorporated in 1981 as the Corona Literary Society, with Stanley Reynolds as its first President. Since then, the Foundation has worked to enhance and support the programs and services of the Corona Public Library. The Foundation partners with community businesses, organizations and individuals to support the City’s Library through major gifts, endowments, planned giving, fundraisers, and on-going programs such as the
Dollar Self Storage E-waste Recycling Program.
